ENGINEERING A MUCH-NEEDed EVOLUTION.

Johns Manville is a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium-quality insulation and commercial roofing, along with glass fibers and nonwovens for commercial, industrial and residential applications. Having been in business since 1858, the company has evolved with the times - and the need for an innovative site advancement was apparent.

A DESIRE FOR RELEVANCE.

The client was running on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 5.6.1 and hadn’t instituted any substantial improvements or changes to their site in several years. They were concerned with the user experience, and 3|SHARE was tasked with determining how to deliver more relevant content to users more quickly—a front-end challenge that had to be addressed by a backend approach.

BIGGER, BETTER AEM.

In typical 3|SHARE fashion, we executed an insightful, phased approach to the issues. We performed a content audit to identify bad code and unnecessary content; we upgraded to AEM 6.3, creating a roadmap to leverage the new AEM features; enhanced site search; improved user experience; and trained and mentored the client along the way via seamless communication.

WE BLEW THE ROOF OFF.

This collaboration was a resounding success. Authors ended up with increased content flexibility and a dramatic reduction in the amount of maintenance required for that content, the site had a more consistent look and feel, content finally had places to “live” on the site, and searching for these assets became exponentially easier.

“We went from 8 product type templates to 1 in this upgrade.”
